Why sponsor the work of the Center for the Study of Organizational Change (CSOC) at the Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs at MU?

CSOC is unique in its integration of advanced and comprehensive organizational research and consultation for change. At CSOC doctoral and masters level students learn how to study organizations in-depth and on-site. They learn how to translate organizational research for clients in a way that shapes organizational culture change. At CSOC students are taught a theory and method of fieldwork and intervention, which advances graduate students interests in organizational research and consultation, professional managers knowledge of organizational change processes, and executive clients interests in organizational change.

What Your Gift Supports

Donations to CSOC support activities that develop and extend psychoanalytic organizational studies and qualitative organizational research. CSOC is the only psychoanalytically-oriented institute studying organizations at a research university in the United States. Our goal is to develop a diverse community of students and scholars dedicated to the study of organizations, building organization theory, and supporting practitioners in organizations at all levels. Gifts to CSOC support:

  • In-depth studies of organizational culture provided to nonprofit and public organizations free of charge
  • Research fellowships for advanced graduate students studying organizations
  • Annual colloquia providing a forum for dialogue and sharing of ideas
  • Development of certificate programs for practitioners, consultants, and students
